BBasile
0.13" of ice @ 930 PM. Roads are mostly just wet, except for the one part where there was some idiot standing in the middle of the road that I had to swerve around. Understeer, then oversteer, followed by a 30' drift. Saved it, but almost killed the guy.
KamuSnow
32F here, raining. Just around the time it got to 32F I was outside, and the breeze has picked up from the South, to SSW. Enough to hear it in the tree branches, along with the crackling of ice. Interesting, but also inspires you to move away from tall trees when they start moving. eta: about 0.10 of ice here on top of the sleet.

RU848789
Drove from Rahway to Piscataway, leaving at 6 pm and arriving at 7 pm, for what is usually a 25 min ride. Was 27F and sleeting heavily at the time. Roads were treacherous - even Route 1 was snow/sleet covered and slippery - averaged 25-30 mph and saw a few spinouts. Went in to the RU-MD hoops game (we lost, but played decently) and came out around 9:15 pm to freezing rain and 31F. Clearly had been ZR for awhile as there was about an 1/8" layer of ice on everything. The drive back to Metuchen was pretty slick, although with traffic and temps at 31-32F things were starting to melt a bit. Temp hit 32F about a minute ago here in Metuchen. My driveway is an absolute sheet of ice. Guesstimating 3/4" to maybe an inch of sleet/snow (didn't measure when the sleet ended) - anyone in Edison get a good measurement when the sleet stopped? I'm taking the advice I gave to a bunch of folks - not clearing the driveway/sidewalk, as temps should be in the upper 30s by dawn and I hope the stuff on the paved surfaces will be mostly melted. anthonyweather
What a mess. Still at 31 here. We had 1" of snow, followed by sleet and now ZR. Let me say this. I'm close to 300 pounds and 6'4, and I can't make footprints... The road is the same way. Hurricane Agnes
OBS Rain & fog 37.4F Winds light, W Alot of water and slush out there. Looks like if the single digit Thursday lows verify, it'll all freeze into a glacier of ice on the bottom, a pile of sleet on top of that, a layer of concrete filling in the middle, all topped with fluffy snow. ChescoWx
Although temps have now risen to 33.1 here in NW Chesco I still see ice accretion and it does not appear to have begun melting just yet so still some ZR
