OMG it took almost 2 hours to get home.  The drives were both closed and anything along a river or creek was flooded.  Had to go the old-school Broad Street route to get home. :axe:   Stations around the area are reporting 2 - 2.5 ".  In the middle of the last band coming through although so far it's not torrential - more plain old light - moderate showers for now.

Crazy persistent rain cluster over Philadelphia.

EDIT: actually south of Philidelphia, but the rain is spreading towards the north and east.

I was looking at that, and while I believe snow measurements for PHL are taken across the river at National Park, NJ,  I don't know where rainfall measurements are taken. Same place?

Rainfall measurements are taken at the airport with the ASOS equipment.

To point out the sad discrepancies we have now with the NAM and GFS

12z update for my back yard for storm totals today

NAM - 3.25"

GFS - .35"

NAM is already a fail

GFS was woefully dry for the larger region. Based on all the high QPF maxes in eastern PA and Jersey NAM won the battle.
