superjames1992
Been absolutely RIPPING here for about an hour. Melting initially, but has started sticking in the last 30 or so minutes. 1/2". Woohoo! Took forever to get a changeover though. LOL, told you that you'd overperform. N/W always wins.

Jonathan
LOL, told you that you'd overperform. N/W always wins. Did you guys get anything down your way? It was stuck in the 40s all day here. Finally started sleeting at 36F at about 3:00ish, then switched to heavy snow around 4:00ish and snowed until about 5:20ish. Only ended up with half an inch, so nothing too crazy. About what NWS was calling for. Good on them.

Solak
First round of rain is over.... and was an over-performer; .68" in the gauge so far. Now it's wait and see what that band over the foothills does as it slides NE and E and the temps drop. Stuck at 37° for the last 3 hours.
GlaringSun
Is there any possibility metro ATL could see a few sleet pellets or even snowflakes from this? Silly me here hoping the temperatures will allow that as they drop for the next few hours.
Jet Stream Rider
I'm in extreme NE Franklin County where Franklin, Halifax and Warren counties come together. Still all rain here but I anticipate sleet mixing in at any moment. Did you yet pick up any sleet up that way Poimen? I'm down to 34.1 - still no sleet this far south into the piedmont. featherwx
That band coming out of the foothills looks fairly robust compared to what I was expecting-hopefully these temps will drop a bit more though because I'd hate to see it fall as more rain.... yotaman
What an incredible day here. We topped out at 82 once again today. At 1:30pm we were at 82, 15 minutes later we were at 56. a 26 degree drop in only 15 minutes, that's amazing here. At one time I had looked at the wunderground radar and temp map and noticed that at exactly 1:45 it was 57 in my neighborhood and 2 miles to the south it was at 82. Man I wish I had been home to witness that. Were I was at, Cherry Point, the front passage wasn't as pronounced for some reason. It came in like a lamb and actually took some time to drop off. Currently we are at 39 which is a 43 degree drop in 4 and 1/2 hours. We are experiencing light rain right now.
