CT Valley Snowman
when you look at the 00 z euro ensembles, you could tell there was definitely some big time amped members along with some that were south which is where you get the 6 inch mean up to near the Massachusetts Turnpike. leesun
Yeah that is almost a clean whiff pike northward and really only the south coast would get advisory snows on that. That's not good news.

weathafella
GFS south. Advisory for far southern sne but nice NYC southward.
ORH_wxman
Wagons south on 12z GFS too...I'm not sure it even gives advisory to the south coast on that run. Maybe within 5 miles of the shoreline.

weathafella
Could be like 96. BOS goes over 100 and rots till a 6+ event around 4/10.

weathafella
Steve, compare hour 48 3 hour qpf with 54 on the 6z run. Clearly shifted south, it's not debatable.
ORH_wxman
Verbatim yes...providing current trend stops which is a tenuous premise. That's the main issue...along with the just the basic synoptic setup. It is hard to offset a crunching northern stream shortwave...you really need a solid southern stream partial phase and we just aren't quite getting it. Without it, you'll probably see this trend even more south/colder.

SR Airglow
Trend is real. I'll give it until the 0z runs before throwing in the towel completely, but the writing was on the wall when the NAM started ticking south and nothing started ticking the opposite way.
