Guest Pamela
Euro looks great and the overall consensus is very good. ECMWF in the midst of its worst winter since its inception (or so it seems)...perhaps it is due to be right for once.
wolfsheepsheadbay
FWIW RGEM cut back on totals a bit.Maybe for you. Virtually the same for everyone else. 6-8" for the city.
weatherpruf
NYC as well. Listening to WNYC, I'm wondering...if the call 1-3 with sleet, then change to snow, they are calling for 4-8 total ( which will change as it always does ) if that is inclusive, we might me looking at 4 all total, and the seasonal trend for most of Middlesex Co has been 2-4. So I am not expecting much of a storm, given that March storms have generally disappointed over the decades.

NycStormChaser
Only the southern half of NYC is in a warning, the northern part (Manhattan and Bronx) are in a watch. Very odd considering brooklyn and Queens run parallel to Manhattan up to the 70s
dmillz25
I stand corrected. Upon further review it is only staten island , Brooklyn and queens It is odd but they probably change Manhattan and the Bronx to a warning or downgrade Brooklyn queens and SI to an advisory
MJO812
It is odd but they probably change Manhattan and the Bronx to a warning or downgrade Brooklyn queens and SI to an advisory Why is it odd?Brooklyn has a better chance if the low shifts further south. dmillz25
Why is it odd?Brooklyn has a better chance if the low shifts further south. I get that but i would think they would add Manhattan to the warning. All of queens is in the warning and the northern most part of queens actually cuts through the bx into Washington heights. Thats why i find it odd
