Might as well start something. Anyone remember September of 2010? I think it was the 23rd. The tornado that hit the city? I remember being outside when it occurred. Greenish brown skies large hail as the tornado missed me to my south

I'm glad I stayed home that day, or else I would've been on my way home in the path of the macroburst/tornado.

Things get quiet when the models don't show snow, severe, or hurricanes. Couldn't imagine how quiet this

forum would be if we had a San Diego climate.

Not sure it (the forum) would even exist...What would folks talk about-how long the fog will hang on?  no hurricanes, no t-storms, no heat, and no cold.  Beyond boring.

The severe storm that day was insane here. I was on the train when this storm was happening. There was a loud crack of thunder that scared alot of people on the train that day.

Mt Washington has extremely severe winters; yet there are about 100,000 other locations on the planet with far more severe winters. I think "world's worst weather" is just a clever shibboleth used to persuade people to visit the summit.

It has a very different meaning for hikers than it does for those who take mechanical transportation to the summit.

For sure pretty much all of Antarctica is much worse. Right at the edges of the ice sheet the katabatic wind (not sure of exact spelling) blows for days even weeks on end at over 100 mph. Throw in temps to -100 and you're talking serious serious wind chills!!!

After today mean temp at 34.5 degrees for March, a departure of -5.6 degrees....coldest March here since 1977 is 35.2 in 1985, so will come close.

KNYC could have March temperature averaging in the 30's for the second straight year...Not seen since 1941-40-39...The first time since 1977-78 with February averaging in the 20's and March in the 30's...

Don't look but the 00Z 3/25 GFS shows a big snowstorm for 4/3-4/4.  The pattern strongly supports it and the MJO screams potential.  Do not dismiss, as this looks like the correct solution too.  The EURO will show this in 4-5 days for this range, if not sooner. 4/1-4/15 is looking much below normal pattern with +PNA / -EPO continuing, end of discussion.  Maybe this snaps by 4/15 into seasonal pattern. Let's hope.

Pazzo , 7 days  of  - 9 . A little short of - 10 for 10 days and the next 2 days of warmth will mute that , maybe Sat Sun Mon would have got me close .

All in all close from 15 days out but not correct .
