A "Year Without A Summer" 2015 redux?

1816 was a *very* bad year...especially for farming...most of us went hungry. Next year is the Bicentennial!

I'm so sorry to hear that brother. No one should have to endure that and my heart goes out to you and your family. I lost my father in a similar fashion a few months ago and while I don't presume to know your pain as everyone experiences these sort of things differently, these two quotes below helped me with coping.

"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal."

" When those you love die, the best you can do is honor their spirit for as long as you live. You make a commitment that you're going to take whatever lesson that person or animal was trying to teach you, and you make it true in your own life... It's a positive way to keep their spirit alive in the world, by keeping it alive in yourself."

Your father had a profound impact on you and those around you and he imparted those same values in you. Those who knew him will begin to see him through you as those values he imparted to you will now rise to the surface in an even more transparent and noticeable way. Your father is never gone, he lives on with you and through you.
