southpark
Wow, 18z NAM is eye candy! 1.06 qpf at kagc, 1.04 is snow! 18z GFS still hates us. Not as much as it did at 12z. lol. Trended northward with the snow totals.

colonel717
Jeff V said all rain....that means a foot is on the way I did hear him say may end as a few snow showers... I think 6-10 inches would fall under a few snow showers.. Nice that there is a good bit of model agreement but I am tempering my excitement as its still 48 hrs away .. There is going to be such a fine line, its going to be pretty much until storm time to know before I by in
Burghblizz
18Z GFS is a tick in the right direction- but its tight for the big snows. Mon Valley special.

SteelCity08
Is that a foot in Pittsburgh or central Westmoreland county? C'mon Tolleris Would be nice but not sure if i can trust someone who doesn't even know which county pgh is in lol. Model support is there for the most part though. blackngoldrules
Is that a foot in Pittsburgh or central Westmoreland county? C'mon Tolleris He put Pittsburgh in Westmoreland County for some reason. Looks like 4-8 in northern Allegheny and 8-12 in Southern Allegheny. I don't believe either of these will happen, but we can dream. He's overdone our area before with his forecasts.

He is historically OK in our area for non-warm tongue scenarios
Burghblizz
The thing i don't understand is that the City was already in the right place before. He has used that same map for the last 12 years. He physically had to move it

north pgh
You know we are only going to get fringed right? It always happens. So does the move south start tonight? I hope not but history says so.

Burghblizz
Obviously the NAM has a known bias - so need to see Euro and GFS continue NW. Intriguing to see the heaviest precip as the -10 850 line comes crashing in

Its the most action we've seen this year regarding snow maps. Atleast the warm tongue can't screw us. There are other things that can but that can't for a change.
