Chicago WX
kind of wild seeing the overlapping flood/winter storm headlines lol, I was just thinking the exact same thing. Louisville (SDF) has seen 1.53" of rain in the past 24 hours...and still raining. And then of course, 6"+ of snow to follow. Crazy.

ukrocks
enjoy it buddy . Louisville is one of those regional border cities where this is truly a treat. We are often the ones in the mid 30's with a deluge of rain and then a dusting of snow follows. It has been a great winter. We average a 6-8 inch storm probably once every three to four years. To potentially get two in one year is special.

ukrocks
I changed over to sleet for a brief time but have since changed back over to rain. It's 33 degrees at my house.
ukrocks
We have sleet once more. Clouds have really started to darken. I'm hoping we're done with the rain. Have to deal with the sleet in order to change to snow.
Jrad08
I feel like the moisture field is extended a little farther north than progged. Maybe something to watch for those on the sharp cutoff lines.
Baum
Notice the Paducah office has accumulation forecasts of 2"-6", 3"-8", and 4"-10". Seems like they should verify somewhere in those ranges.

I think ratios will really start to ramp up totals here in the city. Temperature is down to 26 where I live.

Yes. 19 here and ratios have gone way up. You still have about 8 hours of snow and most of that will be 1+ and probably some 2 mixed in.
