Baroclinic Zone
looks the same here QPF fetish? Best banding is always N of highest QPF. I see no reason to sway from BOXs forecast from this AM.

ineedsnow
think it will be close but not enough Box should warn to the pike I'd think
powderfreak
Snow just developed here as the SW flow upslope has exploded over the east slopes of the Spine.
Mr. Windcredible!
Looks like a little bit of enhancement just offshore on LIS. Hopefully that lifts north a bit in the next hour or so. Didn't look like a huge difference on radar, but that enhancement has lifted north now and intensity definitely picked up nicely.
Damage In Tolland
think it will be close but not enoughGonna be a lot of 6 inch amounts right up to pike with more a bit south in spots. But close call
RUNNAWAYICEBERG
Think they should've must gone with a warning to begin with...not sure why they held off. HIPPYVALLEY
This definitely looks like a CT to S. Shore of MA special. -SN but decent snow growth here. I'll stick with my 2-3" call for here through HubbDave land. This area is in a radar hole between Albany and Boston. I've learned the Albany radar is much more accurate for this area. Hoth
South is best. Not feeling too great about this in my hood. Shadows of the last SWFE stir. Hope I eat my words, but thinking 2" will do it.

Yeah can image OKX being gun-shy... they have had a rough winter, especially in the media. But they've also been on the edge in so many of these events this winter, especially during the BOS run. Forecasts definitely have a higher bust rate on the modeled edge of a storm.

Honestly they did it to themselves. Yes several of these big events were close...but they went with the snowiest guidance multiple times. They could've cut back some of their forecasts and they still would've been on the snowier side of guidance.

The 4 Seasons
I just came from the immediate shore, West Haven, and it is noticeably snowier there. More snow OTG and coming down harder, must have been around 2-2.5" OTG, I drove up here on RT15 and there was much less on the highway once I got to Hamden and then North Haven. Still snowing steadily here but 1.8" OTG. You can clearly see heavier echoes right along the shore of CT, looks like its having a hard time moving far inland. I suspect highest totals will be in the southern parts of the 4 S CT counties.
