Snow on the doorstep although I expect a little time before it actually falls. Clouds were low earlier then brighten..now lowering a bit once again. Really don't expect much, hell it's March during the day w/temps in the upper 20's. Maybe a little fun...

some very light snow here in Media temp was 29 has fallen back to 27 now... can see the sun penetrating the clouds though here so there is some dry air up there and a stronger March 1st sun can break through it appears even at 10:15AM obviously no where near ready to melt any snow on the ground or warm the ground temps up at this time.

Well, that's good. Didn't know if the temps would just stay steady then rise slowly once the snows arrives. But dropping back is a plus. Precip is having a tough time making it into my area. Drying up just before per radar.

28.6F. 9.9DP which actually has gone down...

I wonder what causes the arc in the precip around central NJ at the start. This is the second or third time it has occurred this winter. 26/9

It's harder for the radar site to pick up the moisture close to the beam. Look at OKX as well and you will see what I mean.

Current ob:

Partly cloudy

79

DP 72

Oh....Key West, FL. ;)

Makes sense, thanks. I guess also the 0.5 degree tilt angle may show that the light precip has evaporated by the time it gets to the beam elevation. Just a thought. I use the COD radar.
