LithiaWx
Precip maxes have consistently been placed. They were never located in the Carolinas. Actually a pretty big bust now, my bad.

No snow for you
They were saying 56 as a high today. Looks like we are going to top out at 68. We had a drizzle this AM as well. May have to cut on the AC soon.
jburns
58º forecasted for here. High was 67º. We are also supposed to be well into our very wet week. 0.04" so far.
Cold Rain
You can thank the retrograding southern trough for centering the best moisture transport well west of the area. The models had that feature, along with the SE ridge farther east than what is actually occurring.
LithiaWx
Thunderstorms entering and firing over north Georgia, some look pretty stout. Incoming!!!!!

You were never in the heavy axis of precip, the models never showed anything , except for TN and KY! 48 and light rain!
LithiaWx
Haven't seen the sun for more than a few minutes this entire week, not a ton of rain, had some yesterday and some today. Definitely a big bust on the 2 inches that had been modeled for days at the beginning of this week. I was never in the axis of heaviest precip even in the beginning but I was still supposed to get some showers that never happened Monday - Wednesday. All in all a pretty big bust for the NWS and all of the modeling we have as everything has been shunted west like 300 miles from where the models showed the biggest impacts through AL/TN now in reality appearing in LA and AR. Pretty par for the course this year. models being off with feature by hundreds of miles until a day or so before the event.
jshetley
Barely a drop here. I'm not expecting much either since anything going east of I-26 just breaks up. GSP needs to lower the precip chances from there to the east.
jshetley
Yep the models are a joke. It's certainly a good thing hurricane season is not going to do much, because if it did turn out to be active, forecast accuracy would probably be hundreds of miles off. We have about 0.35-0.85 for GSP over a 36-hr period beginning this morning and ending tomorrow night. Pretty light amounts and a broad range.
