Chicago WX
The sweet anticipation, the exuberance, the sheer joy....if this was the approach of snow. Or the disappointment, anger, regret of staying up for the Euro for 6 consecutive nights...if this was snow and LAF was missing out by the slimmest of margins. In winter you win some and you lose some. Hopefully when you tally everything up in April, you end up more in the W column.

Chicago WX
I will say, despite the shutout here, it looks pretty sweet on the national radar mosaic.

patrick7032
So what you are saying is we have had about .50-.70? Nope....the SENSORS NEVER FAIL....and are ALWAYS ACCURATE....well since you already know which one is out....scratch that idea.
snowstormcanuck
Probably around 0.75" I guess with the back edge rapidly approaching. Was expecting 1.25-1.50" according to the NAM/GFS/RGEM consensus but, per typical, precip raced through a lot quicker than expected.
snowstormcanuck
Hmm...better than I thought. 1.02" as of 11 EST. Maybe another 0.10" before everything's done, so not bad. Models only a little overdone wrt QPF.
michsnowfreak
So what you are saying is we have had about .50-.70? Seriously, it is a windy, rainy night. Nice rainfall for you. I noticed as the slp moved through OH that wind advisories were thrown up. I'd be surprised if there weren't a few limbs taken down in your area. Stebo
Ended up with .65 here at the airport, I'd say some areas in the Metro received closer to an inch though, especially the Eastern and Downriver Burbs

It was a little less than what the models had outputed but I can't complain after only 0.24" fell in all of November up until that point. And good guess, branches everywhere. Not as bad as it would have been had we still had foliage on the trees.
