hosj III
The winds tomorrow could cause some serious problems. Looks like we could gust to 30 mph before temps go above freezing.
nj2va
Pretty crazy out there now that the slush and puddles froze too. Branches down but that's it, thankfully.
Angela T
Stayed below 30 most of the day, and even steady at 28 till noon. Now at 32 and has been since around 7pm. Quite a bit of ice, but mainly on elevated areas. Early to day, sidewalks and roadways were a bit iced, but now all is good.
WhiteoutMD
This is legit event second most ice I have seen all schools will cancel tomorrow condition are not safe for kids to walk in kinda of an easy call. With ice on trees like this anything could happen to someone walking under one. It will take most of the day for the ice to melt of the them. ThreeRedheads
I've been below 32 all day. My 12 year old lab who has leg/hip problems really had difficulty. I cleared the deck off, but he had trouble on the ice encrusted snow.
das
28.8F after a high of 29.1F back at 6pm. Another day with a high that does not get out of the 20's. Icicles on the power lines are easily 8" long as are most hanging from the eves of the house. It looks like a winter wonderland out there. Looks like accretion is between 0.25" and 0.3". No too many branches down here as this is the third icing event here this winter.

Jebman
If only I could have one more shower of freezing drizzle. I really miss that ZR so bad. This ice event was funner than getting 24 inches of snow. The human drama is way more entertaining than the event itself. I was grinnin' as I watched ppl tryin to walk to their cars without suffering a disastrous pratfall. It was downright comedic. I walked with utter confidence since I own Winter while everyone else flailed around. Some fell. I had to pinch myself real HARD just to keep myself from guffawing out loud. It was uproariously hilarious! I am truly God's very gift to winter destruction as I watch lesser mortals try to survive. It's entertaining to watch it play out. However I'll get mine. It will be hilarious for everyone else to watch me cry in public on Wednesday as 70 degree high temps destroy all my snow, even the piles at the shopping centers. I'll get so depressed i'll actually inspect the 14th street bridge looking for a good place to jump. It might be 970 years before we ever get another ice storm this bad in DC. There's a reason bad ice storms are rare in this region. I'll be totally disconsolate for months. I worship ice with all my heart.

WEATHER53
Glad I left everything alone as the one tiny sidewalk area I shoveled is now uber slippery sheet ice. Rest of it is just crusty. -15 to -20 daily averages for last 2 weeks and 5 snow events and this one.

mappy
My car wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, ice came off pretty easily. Driveway on the other hand, that was a fun trip getting out. wxdude64
Don't think the front is through yet, but air is mixing and getting gusty out this way, 20+ steady for half an hour with a 32 gust between 6:30 and 7 here. Just a FYI to those that have a good bit of ice in the trees.
das
33.6. Trees are raining. Jumped to 33.4F as soon as the sun crested the horizon and the trees did the same thing here. Water and ice falling everywhere. Cold front can't get here soon enough.
StudentOfClimatology
I'm at 32.7..some dripping but nothing much yet. Fog still sitting over Potomac River & River Valley like a soup..I'm just above it here. Looks like gusts in the mid-30s being reported out west near Winchester/Martinsburg/Front Royal..woah.
