yoda
I'm pretty damn impressed even down here in UHI land. I haven't seen something like this in a long time. Phineas FTL
snowfan
We really need to start giving the nam it's due. Euro hasn't been great with qpf and the gfs is stirring gom canes so it's not like any of the models are stellar right now

The Dude
It's icy, but there was a fine layer of water underneath that made shoveling and clearing the car surprisingly easy.

StudentOfClimatology
Branches starting to break here..this needs to stop within an hour or we're in a bit of trouble. Snap crackle pop in the woods every 30 seconds or so.
yoda
Looking forward to an epic light slushy glaze on trees and my deck. We all know by mid-day tomorrow we'll be at 31.5 and hardly accreting under drizzle and thin clouds. Oops

Scarlet Pimpernel
Pretty bad here. Roads look OK though some slush in places. Sidewalks and the like are pretty dangerous, though there are some running rivers of water too where it's collected. Trees, metal objects, bricks, etc. are encased in ice. It's really pretty, got many photos. Probably ~1/4" of ice crust on top of the snow pack, and nearly that on some branches I saw.

hosj III
.25" flat when I measured. Decent little ice event but I doubt major power issues. Usually you need .5"+ for that.

ravensrule
Not sure, since precip is in the process of shutting off from west to east. The longer the ice weighs on the branches the more they will snap, that is why i say that.
gymengineer
That increased 2,800 in the past hour. The number's jumpy--- down to 1200 but no reports from Carroll County. So, I think it's more just that the outages are in the process of being registered. Edited: And on the next update, back up to 3000.
StudentOfClimatology
Still 31.2/30 here, the rise has ceased for now. Have probably added more ice in the last hour than we did in the previous 3hrs combined.

ACFD FIREMAN
Beautiful scene with the streetlights illuminating the ice on the trees. Very nice ice event here. Sidewalks, sidesteets, and parking lots are all covered. One of the better ice storms lately. 30 degrees. Fair Oaks Ffax
