BTRWx
My thoughts are usually pretty DC centric to be honest. I will look elsewhere and do focus on a county or two circle around the city in general but I'm talking about the city and maybe east. NWS here has a tough job given the population density if nothing else... though you do wonder if these late upgrades are based on reports at all or just a hunch/cya type thing. It's early.. who knows maybe I'm wrong. The rain falling here is barely freezing except for surfaces already frozen fwiw. Also dry slot incoming...where do we stand on guidance? needbiggerboat
Yeah, i usually do take that IAD-HNL nonstop, but it was not available for government fare. Glad to know my tax dollars are funding your frequent trips to HNL. Sounds like boondoggles to me. I would be concerned about your A319 sliding in to the Potomac, assuming you are on UA330. Random Chaos
ZR in Annapolis. Accretion only on roads, ground, and vehicles, not on trees yet. Usually it does trees before roads. Decent layer on the car.

BTRWx
This is as good as radar gets after filling in a bit. In reference to what ers said last night, the light consistent zr may be what's triggering our good ice accretion forecasts.

snowfan
Trees starting to get that icy look. Roads shouldn't be awful but this could turn into one of those pretty to look at ice events.

BTRWx
What other Airport code can I use? I'm in Brookmont near the DC line. We should be able to write comments for our locations to improve precision. eta: Actually, we already can! soc, you could add text for the location after the fact
needbiggerboat
Are we crippled yet? You are justified in down playing, but mid 20s and frz rain is certainly more signfiicant than 31 and same.
Ian
What other Airport code can I use? I'm in Brookmont near the DC line. Ahh, closer than I thought. Well you can enter anything as the actual location and it will work. As far as your obs widget I guess DCA is best.
DDweatherman
Radar to me doesn't resemble the SR model prog I saw above. I would say a lot of the precip is aimed at our area and lwx reflect was showing some backbuilding recently.
