Isopycnic
32.5" with rain. The accrued ice is now falling from the trees so for now the icing is done.
tazaroo
31.6 here so still getting some glaze. Some if the trees look to have a 10th or so.

Looking over that area, most of the weather stations are above 32.0 now. What was the total amount you ended up with? I read somewhere it was around .10-.15? J.C.
35F and light rain. Not sure how cold we got to earlier this morning though. I woke up very briefly at 6:30 this morning and had 32.5, I was pretty shocked to see it had gone that far.

AirNelson39
That's quite an impressive wedge in place today (time sensitive) Yeah it is because I'm up here sunbathing in a speedo in Boone while everyone down the Mtn is in the low 30's!!
Moonhowl
Yeah it is because I'm up here sunbathing in a speedo in Boone while everyone down the Mtn is in the low 30's!! NCSNOW
50 degrees up at Joe's 4000 feet up. While we are wedged in down here barely above freezing. Just saw his obs in mtn thread.
sparklecity
I hit 32.0° for a couple hours early this morning so I imagine we had a little freezing rain, but was asleep so I couldn't verify it. 40.8°/39° currently with drizzle.

Solak
Solak, you and I have way over performed QPF-wise on this one. Up to .56" today --- .58 for the 'event'. Most I saw forecast was 1/10 - 1/4.
superjames1992
Lol event Looks like we got about 1/10" ZR here. About as much as could have been expected. Icetown...
JQPublic
This was a nice icing with minimal impacts. Those that weren't paying attention to the forecasts were caught by surprise early this morning, as you could tell by the accidents.

BIG FROSTY
haha, saw some icicles this morning. that's about it. That's about all I had, moisture stayed to my east so it was a non-event here! What do you think about Thursday another non-event or anything with potential?

What do you think about Thursday another non-event or anything with potential? The setup seems pretty rare which makes it unlikely, yet the models have been consistent showing a back end snow/ice threat. I would bet this will trend one way or the other in the next day or so. I could easily see this as just a fropa or trending into two separate waves w/ a trailing s/w riding up a stalled out cold front.
