Rtd208
Winter Weather Advisory in effect for my area from 10 am Sunday to 4 am Monday for 1-4" of snow and one to two tenths of ice accumulation.
Animal
still a bit conservative imo. 4-6 looks likely for NYC 5 boroughs You can always up totals. Going high to start and then pulling back is where the public gets pissed. They took the gfs precip

LongBeachSurfFreak
I like the idea of this behaving like the last storm. 3" extreme south shore 4" in the city and north shore of Nassau. Somehow NW Suffolk gets 6"

Same here, there is a guy who lives directly in front of my house. He has at least 8" snow depth. I'm already seeing bare spots on my lawn. With some 7" lollies. wthrmn654
Nope...I pm'd the little man inside the RGEM (who paints the maps & stuff) and he said the stuff by Morristown was just model noise. Was in port Jefferson today for civil service test, still amazing to have so much snow on ground still Suffolk wide! I think we do really good this storm, and I hope winners not done quite yet! Hoping the egg hunt gets cancelled at work match 28 I do believe lol

Metasequoia
To my eyes, 18Z is a tick colder than 12Z with similiar QPF.

Metasequoia
The big difference is with the third wave, which gives nyc a nice snow event (near .50 QPF)...much more just to the south.

weathermedic
Anyone think knyc makes it down to 12 degrees tonight like the NWS is forecasting? Or 14 forecasted for southern Brooklyn and Queens? Clouds supposed to move in and there's not much snow cover, especially in the southern halves of Brooklyn and queens. 28 here now. I Think we will be lucky to make it down to
