Took 10 measurements and all were right there. Good luck Ktown peeps! Bring it! EDIT to add: Weather Channel says to expect 1-3" total. OOPS! Uncle Nasty
Listening to police scanner in Chattanooga. They are shutting Hwy 153 over the Chickamauga Dam down, Ridgecut on I-24 is a disaster, almost all roads are impassible at this point. I live about 1 1/2 miles from ridgecut. Fun times! That deformation zone looks like it will ride right up I-59 and I-75. We will wind up with 6-8 area wide down here.

The upper level dynamics are awesome over the plateau and eastern ridge and valley. The SLP down in Georgia is serving to pump the moisture stream into it. Blue Ridge
In Erwin, we switched from tiny needles to nickel-size flakes in a matter of two minutes. It's sticking with no trouble. I was surprised to arrive home and find that nearly everything from Monday night's system melted...

Windspeed
Returns fizzled out here. Nothing yet. Some is probably sublimating as you go north. It's been reaching the ground here for the last 20 minutes though. Should be at your doorstep in a matter of minutes.
Carvers Gap
Kingsport is struggling to get real returns. Great to see the pics from Chatt. That is the sweet spot. I told you all that you were going to do well! Perfect spot. As for TRI, I don't think we reach warning criteria for snow. HRRR and RAP both fizzle on this run. It is almost like they can't see the snow on the Plateau? Anyway, totals for the northern Valley are way down. Let's see if that reverses. The radars actually look decent. So, I don't know what is up. But time to temper those expectations. On the other hand, Chatt should reach the high end of their predictions for a good change. Well, looks like the eastern Valley will have had some winter this February. Much better than when we started this month!

ShawnEastTN
I just cannot get over the rate at which its falling. Its been snowing here (if I don't count the initial flurries) since about 630PM, I'm already at 3".... We have a ton of moisture to go. Incredible! Stove it is NAM snow, NAM nailed the last little snow a few days ago, and I think its going to verify with this one. I do believe 5-7" maybe more is going to verify valley wide.
