metalicwx366
Clearly the low is well east of where model guidance had it. It passed right under us because our temps never rose to 70. If it did like guidance showed, I would be getting all the action that I'm missing currently to the S and E.

Cold Rain
You don't have snow? Nope. Mostly rain. The inch that was on the ground is turning grayish and melting.
packbacker
Nope. Mostly rain. The inch that was on the ground is turning grayish and melting. I am like a mile from the rain/snow line, sucks, but when it happens will hit the bed. I have the r/s line to my west about 5-10 miles too, I am suffocating... drfranklin
These computer models need to be evaluated after this fiasco. Especially in these Northern areas. yes, significant sleet melt underway! wondering if my kids will be able to even sled tomorrow while they're out of school! packbacker
I don't think northern Wake will have to worry about mixing or going to rain, I bet the r/s line pushes to I-40 and then shifts east in a couple of hours.
Snowless in Carrollton
I hope we get a monster tornado in the spring that wipes my house away and tosses me into the Gulf of Mexico just to put me out of my misery.

sparklecity
Pretty hilarious that schools cancelled so early. The roads are basically clear now. Well except for the moderate rain falling on them.

Cold Rain
I mean rain? Really? Is it too much to ask to wake up to a couple of inches of snow on the ground?

packbacker
HRRR does show you going to rain/mix but then it shoves the r/s line SE over the next couple of hours simliar to the RAP...has me right on the line, which I am right now, pingers with snow
metalicwx366
Every time a severe thunderstorm warning is issued, it takes all the TV shows off and a weather bulletin comes on the TV and the text is read by some guy. This is the 6th today that has happened today. Our county is the biggest county east of the Mississippi river.
audioguy3107
This one is pretty simple actually.......we live in the deep south. Without a fresh supply of arctic air, we're not getting a major winter storm that cuts north out of the gulf into southern Georgia (I'm not talking about the upper level bowling balls), especially during the day when temps are in the upper 30's and we have to rely on dynamic cooling. These lows have to stay deep in the gulf and traverse northern Florida. Larry (GaWx) said as much many time this winter.

I've had a house destroyed in a tornado. Actually 5 hours from now will be exactly 7 years. So I know how horrible it is, but right now my pain is too much to bear. I want to die.
