aldie 22
As others have said the fresh blanket of white on top of the old snow is beautiful. This is a stick to the trees kind of snow which adds to the beauty of the landscape. Let's keep it cloudy and cold today to preserve this wonder of Mother Nature

Deck Pic
Just really coming down now. Awesome snow. Trees are covered making it beautiful. 2 inches here we're just a tad too far to the NW to get into the deep greens and yellows that would make this a 3-5" event.... Mrs.J
Peer pressure. Correct. Just used our last day though. Any more storms that may come in March will eat into our spring break.
BTRWx
that data is at least an hour stale... Iad should have never been above dca for this system imo.

EastCoast NPZ
Correct. Just used our last day though. Any more storms that may come in March will eat into our spring break. Would you rather have a day off on a beautiful winter's day with snow on the ground, or a day off in early April when it's 48F, muddy ground, and windy? osfan24
I believe this storm will push BWI to climo or maybe even slightly above it for the winter.
nw baltimore wx
and that was an hour ago Yeah, that's what I was referring to. Not a bad event at all! How close is DCA to average snowfall before this event?
clueless
Measured 1.5 south and 1.75 north face. Did not expect that.
BTRWx
Yeah, that's what I was referring to. Not a bad event at all! WxUSAF
Had 1" when I left the house. Snow was light with maybe 1-1.5mi vis. Freshened everything up. Felt weird to have such a "warm" snow with temps just below 30F.
Deck Pic
Iad should have never been above dca for this system imo. IAD was always in reasonably similar QPF to DC, plus they started earlier...
wxdude64
I have 2.0 on the money here, with 0.14 liquid. That is a 14-1 SR? Between the little melting I got yesterday and new snow, gained 1 inch on the ground to 9.5 average. That varies from 8 to 11.5 through the yard. Temp is 28.8 and still have a very fine 'pixie dust' falling with haze. BONUS, this pushes me over climo for the year, never though that was possible at start of month. We've scratched and clawed our way to a respectable winter. If someone had told me that even 2 weeks ago I'd laughed at them. I'm about 2.5" below climo still, but it's within striking distance.
