Jebman
Moderate snow, closing in on 2 inches here in Dale City. This band is dumping big dendrites. Think we just might be maximizing the dendritic growth zone lol
osfan24
RAP looks more accurate than HRRR as the snow has dwindled to basically flurries or a very light snow shower here. Seems like the stronger returns have quickly shifted east and back edge is moving rapidly toward us.

smokeybandit
AA county went from delay to closing. Probably the right move as while the highways were largely clear, the secondary roads were a mess, especially intersections.
weatherCCB
Picking back up again. Snowing moderately . 2" seems doable. Maybe a little more depending on duration.

Probably the right move as while the highways were largely clear, the secondary roads were a mess, especially intersections. My SO just told me that route 50 was a mess eastbound in AA County with cars mostly using one lane and lots of slipping.

EastCoast NPZ
1.3" when I left my house at 7:30. That was significantly more than there is here at my work in Middletown 6 mi. south. I woke up at 5:45 and looked outside to see legit moderate snow falling with nice sized fluffy dendrites. When I got out of bed at 6:45 it was just pixie dust. We must have got under a good, but brief, band. Pleasantly surprised to have picked up that much snow out of this, especially once I left Stephens City and found there was less snow to my south.
