There is an arc of 10 to 20 dbz returns extending about 600 miles to the WSW, that I am in, and also that DCA is under, that I am fairly certain will drop at least 2 inches on DC, probably about the same here in MBY. However, it will take some time to reach the ground. We'll probably start flurrying by 220am. http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full.php

Wow! Just woke up and it's RIPPING SNOW! Really piling up. Can't wait to hear more REPORTS from the HR folk.

CONGRATS! Enjoy the storm!

That dry air is no joke, I have green 20 dbz returns overhead in a snowband but no dice at all. Very very heavy CLOUDS though! Posters farther south weren't kidding about that dry air. Maybe I'll be able to report flurries by 3am lol.

In the meantime Snow Threat, ENJOY all your snow!  :snowing:

How much snow do you have on the ground? What do you think your rates are per hour?

EDIT: 3am. This dry air is RAM TOUGH. Beautiful green band overhead is being consumed by a lot of super dry air at the midlevels lol. Perhaps I should have listened to the voices of reason from this forum and gone to bed hours ago lmao.

I never learn. I'm an incurable snow weenie. I've wasted my entire life on this dumb hobby  :axe:

I'm gonna be walkin around in a zombielike fog all day today from foolishly stayin up all night for heavy clouds lmao

Not real good at that. Maybe just over an inch? These don't appear to be 1"/hr rates yet but it's definitely picking up. Should be reaching DC area within an hour by radar. Had a lot of returns over us before the first flake fell too. GL!
