Wonderdog
This has the look of coast hugger all the way to NYC. 18z GFS has to show the same nw shift that the NAM does, however to be believable.

Wonderdog
Guaranteed that one school system decides to open on time and things get bad. Doubtful. My wife's firm in Tysons just sent out a weather advisory to be prepared to work from home tomorrow. School systems will follow suit, but then that's not inferring that I'm Nostradamus. School systems will follow suit, but then that's not inferring that I'm Nostradamus. My office also just sent out a notice to be prepared to work from home tomorrow. If DC gets an inch before 4am with snow continuing to fall, we are good for at least a delay and telework options

rmcwahoo
Pretty significant NW trends happening, and clearly AKQ seeing them to bump up the NW counties in their CWA. That's a pretty interesting development to see them push Goochland/Hanover into a warning.

Jebman
I am not going to get 1.2 inch per hour rates, not even for one hour. Especially not when I get a couple of inches for the entire storm. IF I get a couple inches for the entire storm. I might see light snow/pixie dust for several hours that MIGHT accumulate to a couple of inches lol. That's an easy decision. Couple hour delay. We can deal with it. The storm is in NORTH CAROLINA, thats 250-300 miles south of DC.
