gritsnc
I've got 2 inches here and apparently that's all it takes to bring down large limbs from my huge weeping willow tree. :-(

BullCityWx
Been all snow here until last 30 min when it mixed with sleet...now just light sleet. 2.5 inches total It'll be interesting to see the post mortem on this event. I was a bit worried when I didn't see us fully saturated at -15C in several soundings. Of course, we could've just warmed ever so much and that was what caught us. griteater
It was clear for over 24 hours now that significant accumulation would not occur in the immediate Charlotte area primarily due to surface dew points and no source of incoming cold air at the right levels from the north. It's not an easy job for the NWS to perform and overall they do a superb job. If this had been the Monday night event, it could have played out differently. Just north of Charlotte here, precip rates have been the issue, not temps
sparklecity
All rain for the past 30 minutes. The little bit of snow I did have is disappearing quickly.

BullCityWx
It was clear for over 24 hours that significant accumulation wouldn't occur in Charlotte? The NWS (GSP) alone basically tripled the forecasted accumulation totals IMBY since this time yesterday (2-4 to 7-11) with local mets upping their totals every few hours too. Nobody can predict the future but cmon, what a bust. Bring on the 80s and sunshine! dude is a clown. Don't take him seriously.

calculus1
I just went outside and measured 6! Centimeters, that is! My snow totals sound much better that way. Anyway, it's between 2.25 and 2.5 inches on the deck railing. I didn't venture out to the yard, but I would guess the total there is around 3.5 inches.
