audioguy3107
lol main show wasn't supposed to start until like 11 or so. Not calling this a bust until about 12 am. Way too early to call this a bust on your end, however, this was and always has been a highly "bustable" forecast like FFC said down here. I'm afraid you guys may deal with what we've been dealing with all afternoon, if you're under insane rates, you'll get incredible snow, then as soon as it lets up, back to a little rain with some sleet. You're advantage is that its dark now, but that hasn't mattered here one bit. We've changed over to all rain/freezing rain, even with the heavier returns. All we needed was just 1 or 1.5 degrees lower to have really gotten it here. - Buck

Cold Rain
It was supposed to start as rain and not change to snow until 10 or 11. Starting as snow and sleet could be a positive. That was supposed to be because of boundary layer temps, I thought.
DopplerWx
Back to good size flakes now. Hopefully it stays all snow from here on out. all it took was those initial rates to cool the column. buckle up!

phil882
Yea it definitely looks like the warm nose was more formidable than originally forecasted... lookingnorth
Light snow just started in Chapel Hill. At least I'll be able to say we got a trace from this system. I still have no idea what to expect from here on out. It seems like those upstream just got 15 minutes of snow before going over to rain.
