Lol kinda laughing going back through some of these posts. Where do some of these people come from? The woodwork and left field bleachers? You got people talking about moisture not making it over the Ga mountains, like huh? For people sweating it out, getting nervous or having radar hallucinations, guys this is YOUR STORM in RDU and CLT enjoy your ONE storm. Enough of this bs garbage people have no idea what they are trying to insinuate. Radar trends look great down in the area keep the pics coming!

Man, this is some nice putting-down snow right now. Good rates and it's a Winter Wonderland. I haven't measured yet, but we have to be over an inch by now.

We are, it will be 1.5 by the time you get out to measure. Really piling up quick despite the seemingly light rates.

Our flakes aren't massive, so sometimes it can deceptively add up.  Our best snows are often smaller flakes, though (January 2010, for example).  In the next 30 minutes, we're probably going to have our biggest snow/sleet event of the year, LOL.

Big flakes aren't really a desirable outcome, anyways.  Usually, it just means awful ratios in a lot of cases.

A Jeb Walk should be fun later.

I'm probably not too far west of you. I'm stuck somewhere between moderate and heavy snow. It's piling up quickly. Most of the flakes aren't that big, but occasionally there are some wetter flakes thrown in there for good measure.

Nowcasting and on the ground reports don't lie. Concord and even Uptown are getting pounded at the moment, while just south of town is light snow/sleet. Radar looks poorer than previously modeled.

Just sad.
