Got back from a day in Indy about an hour ago. Drive was a little interesting - leaving from dinner surface streets were just wet and in great shape. Roads started becoming snow covered as soon as I hit the highway. People were playing the usual bumper cars on 65 but smooth sailing once on 52...

Little over an inch here at this point. Already wiped out on a hidden patch of ice doing a first clearing of my sidewalk... gonna feel that one on the morning. Short range models looking interesting...

52 is always best. Ouch on the wipe out. And yeah, HRRR and RAP not giving up. Radar looking pretty good to our west, at the moment.

Yeah, last couple events the HRRR and RAP crapped out on us in the last minute. So far so good.

Better returns struggling to make it here. A few good spurts of snow here and there, but it's mainly just -SN. Northern edge on ILX's starting to collapse south, so looks like the under is the easy play for LAF. Just to the south of here looking pretty good.

We knew that optimistic Tim would be fleeting.

I think we're well-positioned for that stuff upstream in IL and I'd say 6" or a little over is still in play here.  Patience is key.  Many hours of snow to go yet.

We'll be lucky to crack 3". Kinda surprised how quickly things are drying up to our west/northwest. Good for locations just to our south though, hopefully they cash.  :snowing:

Already cracked 2" here.  Better stop snowing in a couple hours...

Best rates of the storm right now.  Don't have to go too far north of here to run into a real dropoff in intensity.

Yeah looking good down there.  Steady snow extends all the way back to near KC.  You're starting to look like a lock for a 6"er down there. LAF making 6"ers look easy the past several years.   :sled:
