earthlight
Who's watching? I'll be out in the early morning hours. Nasa has a great page with tons of info and NWS OKX has an Infrared Satellite image up on their homepage for updated viewing conditions. http://www.nasa.gov/topics/solarsystem/features/watchtheskies/index.html

LMolineuxLM1
Nearly fully covered now and it's getting the reddish hue. Incredible. My Digital Camera is recording it on 4.0 x and it can see the color difference.
A-L-E-X
Nearly fully covered now and it's getting the reddish hue. Incredible. Lets see if it goes bright coppery red, dusky dark red or even darker. The darkness of a lunar eclipse is indicative of upper atmosphere aerosol content-- big volcanic eruptions make it much darker than normal.
