ITPBeeches
They're gonna catch hell either way. People are ignorant. They see one snowcast that shows their area possibly getting 8 inches and that's what they expect People also seem to focus on the high-end parameter if they're area is forecast to receive , say-3-6". Alot of people may receive 3.5 or 4" and they seem to think it was a busted forecast because they didn't receive 6"+

Jon
Looks like RAH is being conservative, as usual. No Watch out yet, either... Surely, they issue one with this afternoon's package? You figure they would have too if its even a good possibility that much snow will fall They said they would issue it so it won't be confused with current snowfall...and considering it's still snowing in the triangle, it will likely be issued later. Wow
Euro is a big hit for NC Yeah, I think we have some solid agreement here. I-85 corridor from GA to NC is gonna be closest to the stripe of heaviest snowfall.
Tony Sisk
4-6"+, now. 2-4" closer to Greenwood He does a very nice segment on WYFF! Comprehensive for local TV. He's still talking up the potential for enough instability for Thundersnow in W SC/NC. It's refreshing if you ask me. Let's face it....anything you see on the TV is old news anyways. There just aren't many opportunities for the weather to have a focal point. I'm glad to see a TV Met with enthusiasm for true weather and who isn't afraid to say on TV what we see on the models. Next week, we will be back in the 60's and people can listen about all the bad news and local hockey scores.

PackGrad05
Why should she say more at this point? If she says 5-7 inches and raleigh gets 2-3, she gets ripped. If she says 2-4 and raleigh gets 6+ she gets ripped. Theres too much instability and too many questions for her to throw more out. Brad sure doesn't mind getting on air with a snowfall map... I think Greg/Mike will probably say something on the evening news...
Brick Tamland
WPC snow forecast is huge for NC. Going with 11 inches here.
packbacker
How are temps? I'm concerned about BL. Temps are no issue for us, per the Euro. We are at 34F at 0z Thursday and then we drop below freezing after precip starts. 925/850/700 temps are all solidly below freezing (-3 to -5). LithiaWx
I-20 North from BMX to ATL I-85 North from ATL to GSP Both of these areas will do very well. South Metro ATL needs to hope from some trends south North Metro better hope it doesn't "tick" any farther Northern 1/5th of GA will get plastered JMO

Jon
This post means nothing without an image... That's the 75%ile forecast probably what WxSouth/Robert shared on facebook a second ago...it's a bit much. It's probably best to use 50%ile, considering it lines up well with the Euro and isn't too extreme. Widespread 10" on the 75%ile image seems bogus.
