SN_Lover
lolwut The 4K NAM has a larger scale and higher resolution therefore deformation bands are picked up easily.
WidreMann
The 4K NAM has a larger scale and higher resolution therefore deformation bands are picked up easily.Deform band is a pretty large scale phenomenon. I don't think the Euro, which is also pretty hi-res, is going to have trouble picking up on axes of deformation.
NCsandhills
problem is the NAM DOES NOT follow the euro with regards to snow output. Im tossing the NAM right now, looks too juiced Doesn't the NAM have a pretty noticeable bias for overduing QPF??

Deform bands are pretty narrow.

SnowGoose69
The RGEM should take the ATL and NRN GA people off the ledge a bit, the 00Z run has 5-6 inches (14mm)of snow at ATL by 00Z on Wed Eve...
packfan98
The GFS was last to the party with most of the big MA and NE snows this winter if I remember correctly. There is no logical reason to think that' ALL other modeling will trend towards the gfs.

POWERSTROKE
Got to hate the north trend. Keeps it up going have to plow around here instead of Georgia. Hate it for SC and Ga was hoping they get a good snow. Of course not here yet it may end up in DC or Jacksonville Fla way models have been. NCSNOW
Kind of scary that it's not changing much. Can't help but be a little nervous with that. It also spits out almost an inch of qpf tonight in north GA. This model is something else,

The kool kids in NC want the EURO/NAM to be right, and the rest of the gang wants the RGEM and GFS with euro blend for the southern folks. LOL I think the NAM was on crack tonight..I will say that.
