eduggs
silly question, but I just checked the WaWa web cam, and expected to see all the trees caked in snow...kinda like the pics ginxy posted...but there is barely any snow on the trees, looks like it would if the temp had gotten up to 34...i find that weird Maybe the strong winds blew the snow out of the trees. That's what happened here. The higher elevations had some impressive gusts yesterday.
The 4 Seasons
Looks like most of CT got between 4-8 except for the SE, based on the AM reports. 5.5" with some sleet and ZR with no plain rain was a great outcome considering what we were looking at a couple days ago

For the melted qpf as snow it had me nearly 0.5 inch. Not even remotely close not only to that but overall qpf. A lot of local forecasts adjusted due to RGEM busted badly. Nice one out there. 29.6/26 Thankfully it held off till almost noon so not much damage will be done to the pack. The best way to describe the RGEM in this event was "good in CT, cruddy elsewhere"...if you live in CT, then you thought it did well, if you lived in MA/NH/VT/ME/E NY you thought it was bad. It wasn't an epic bust on a regional scale...but it doesn't get any high marks this storm like it did in the blizzard and the Feb 2nd event or Jan 24th event. Patrick-02540
I would say these now surpass the great banks of 2011 Kev, you should put a mark on that telephone pole with the date to record snow depth. Seems to be in a good spot based on your piling method. And it's slanted a little bit, too.

powderfreak
no model had your micro climate snow Yes but it wasn't right elsewhere either in BTV's CWA...like eastern VT poster Allenson had over 6" where the RGEM has a minimum. The NAM yesterday actually did the best with highlighting the meso-scale spots. The RGEM likes to put the jack in the Champlain Valley for whatever reason...its done that a lot this season. It doesn't seem to handle the meso-scale as well as it should up here, or at least compared to the EURO/GFS/NAM. I'm not sure what causes it in that model. Most other models downsloped the BTV area on SSW flow, and that was the right play. But seems there are enough folks outside of CT that agreed the RGEM didn't really "win" this event. Even in CT...it really only did well for about 2/3 of the state. Most of Middlesex and New London counties fell short of the 6" spit out by the rgem...generally 2-4" fell.
