MJO812
Unfortunate though I thought most areas were at 32F. That's freezing and the rain will freeze on contact.
MJO812
A little more slushy here but yeah, treacherous Really slushy on the roads here. Icy on the sidewalks.
SnoSki14
That's freezing and the rain will freeze on contact. If it's light enough I could see how sidewalks could get icy and maybe secondary roads due to a cold surface. The rains been moderate to heavy so it's getting absorbed by the remaining snowpack or running off.

That means the paved surfaces are still super cold and even if it is 33 the rain will freeze. Aka rjays steps

ers-wxman1
Strong enough. Always seems to work out this way. I lived on Long Island for 23 years and a southerly waa situation almost never worked out. I'm real surprised that we received the snow that we did

TwcMan
32 and freezing rain still. Nasty out there. Looks like some slight southern shifts with the rain/snow line. Not sure it'll end as snow tho for the city and surrounding areas. We'll see.
rcad1
Freezing rain in Mineola Nassau county. It's not freezing right away cause it's coming down hard but temps are still 32 and you can see icicles on power lines.
SnoSki14
So odd though I was looking at all the critical thicknesses on the spc page and they're all south of us. We really should still be snowing at like 32-33F if that was accurate. We haven't even had much sleet it's been mostly snow to FRZA/RA.

Nibor
Radar has filled in very nicely over PA. Areas that have been all snow or borderline might get some decent additional accumulations over the next hour or so.

The back building has been consistent over the past hour around that area. HRRR has also been pretty consistent with getting a healthy round of snow up into our area around 5-6 AM. Should be interesting if it verifies.
