As of 5:30 PM, I measured 1 3/4" of snow in Garwood NJ (Union County).  Once every now and then I hear something hitting window.   I'm not sure if it is blowing snow, or a tiny bit of sleet mixing in...

 

Most likely blowing snow.  Haven't heard any pings here and the snow is quite fluffy for the most part still before compaction.

The snow growth is starting to go because many places in central and southern NJ have fairly high VIS right now relative to the radar echoes

Indeed...vis dropping a bit now here in National Park NJ but not like before...believe mt holly mentioned this in 430 afd....still expecting another pre changover burst prior to changeover.
