nw baltimore wx
Apparently roads are a horror show around Baltimore Lol They are atrocious. I'm not even trying to leave the city yet. Every yahoo with two wheel drive is stuck on the slightest rise of 83. Total shot shiw.
wesleyhtswx
Transitioning to sleet near AU. Still some big flakes fighting hard against the inevitable.
terpsnation
Switched to 90% sleet in Courthouse now, a couple of flakes still mixed in. The forecast of switching between 5 and 6 was completely on point.
Deck Pic
4.6" is going to be my final number. I'm concerned about ice, temp is only 25 degrees. It doesn't concern me at all...I hope the temp stays below freezing and the storm is as crippling and disruptive as possible.
mikes923
Based on nearby spotters, your measurements are much better than my schlocky ones. Most of recent HoCo spotter reports are ~7". Coming down real well right now. Medium flakes with some meteors mixed in. For sure, wouldnt be surprised if some places were near 8 or 9. Might be time to measure soon, other than with my eyeballs. How long you think we'll stay all snow in Central MD?

wxdude64
It is coming down so hard that the traffic cams are 'pixelating', Just looks like a fog, 10/90 snow/sleet. I am just eyeballing, but I'll say 2 inches of 90% sleet since 4 pm, unbelievable rates.
BTRWx
What's the best way to determine zr versus ip over a snow pack? It seems a bit more difficult.
usedtobe
Ended up with slightly more than an inch and changed to sleet pretty much right when the models were advertising a tad after 5PM. The orientation of the band screwed all us southeastern folks. Happy for the northern crew and those out west. I much preferred the last snow in mby.
