wak2x
I honestly don't know central VA counties very well, but due sw of D.C. through the reaches of lwx looks like all snow. Can someone confirm? About 10 miles west of CHO and I'm still all snow at the moment. Expect transition soon.

EastCoast NPZ
9 AM: 1/2" 10AM: 1.375" 11AM: 2.5" 12 PM: 5.0" 1 PM: 6.0" 4 PM: 8.0" Just finished shoveling and walking the neighborhood. Still periods of moderate snow, including about a 15 min. period of pretty heavy snow that ended about 10 min. ago. Amazingly, this just feels like a major storm. The piles of snow around, roadside cars almost buried to the fenders and roads with shin-deep snow on them. Amazing day. This has turned into one of my all-time favorite events. I love over-performers.
NattyBo
Still ripping all snow in Rockville. Fantastic storm!!! 24.4 in Twinbrook/South Rockville. mattie g
Why don't you want this to be your biggest storm of the season? Part of me wants a fail for some reason. I was close to the jackpot a few times this season so far, so I feel like it would be disrespectful of the weather gods to outdo my jackpots with a storm that failed compared to places within 15 miles. McQuackleton
This is definitely snow and not sleet. I'm in the yellow/orange band. It's coming down pretty heavy.
winterymix
This dual pol hydrometeor classification image shows us that we are not gonna fight that warm nose all evening. Been a great run so far, though.
WxUSAF
7" now with light snow. Wow. I measured 5" an hour ago and have probably only added about 0.2-0.3" since. Just picked back up in earnest. I'll wait for spotters before making an official total either way. Figure we've got about 1-1.5 more hours to get snow before we start pinging. sonickteam
Moved from Heavy Seas Ale House to Cross St Market. I don't have a ruler but from the tool that I use, there's at least 5" on the ground here. I should walk over and say hi!
