jnis
About 3" with moderate to occasionally heavy snow.. fun storm... Hopefully everyone gets in on the action.
NoVaWx
Perfect timing for the snow during the day and don't have to worry about melting because it's so cold and rates are high. Best snow in a long time. Got 3" or more.
weatherwonder
Lack of watches by news really gave people a sense that this would not be a storm to worry about. Big fail It's always the way. It seems like they jinx us otherwise.
usedtobe
you'll be -SN within 10 minutes I've been getting flurries for the last hour and I've been under green echoes for quite awhile and still at this moment can't see the flakes. I'm guessing I will see steady snow but also think I'll probably changover to sleet by 2230Z or 2300Z so unlike all the northern and western guys, I don't have much of a snow window. WEATHER53
Lack of watches by news really gave people a sense that this would not be a storm to worry about. Big fail I agree. I touted this as best I could, arctic century old record breaker does not yield to moderate low pressure. It will eventually but very slowly. Eskimo Joe
anyone know what the little icons are on this radar? http://www.marylandwx.com/radar/klwxmetro_br.php are those mping results or spotter reports or what? Also, side note, tonight will be a good view of dual-pol as the mix moves S to N... Those are mPING reports.
WxUSAF
Solid rates. Flake size is small-to-moderate. Better than Monday for sure. Bring it.
arlwx
Cars already getting stuck on the hill next to my building. Lots of squiggly tire tracks on the road. Don't go out if you don't need to folks. Despite treatment: A neighbor tried going out of the driveway uphill and slid, finally managed to get back into the driveway facing the other way, lifted the wipers up and went back inside. If you can say where the cars are getting stuck (street/block), or at least call Arlington's finest at the non-emergency number (703) 558-2222, this could be useful for Your Hill to get Cadillac treatment too. Edit: dumb dumb dumb Little red speedster tried driving up through the snowier part of the road, veered at the top, nearly got collected by a 4wd speeding up behind it. Even if Your Vehicle can handle anything, can the vehicle in front of you?

North Balti Zen
I agree. I touted this as best I could, arctic century old record breaker does not yield to moderate low pressure. It will eventually but very slowly. I agree with Ji also. Had to work overtime to convince my sister-in-law to get on the road to Philly early. She didn't have much of a sense of timing and urgency based on run-up to start of event.
mdhokie
This is so exciting. Feel bad for people that don't seem to have realized how heavy the snow was going to be who are out and about in it. Should have been widespread WSWs in Nova, DC and central MD. Most people hear WWA 2-4" and think no biggie. This storm wasn't hyped at all.

87storms
Solid rates. Flake size is small-to-moderate. Better than Monday for sure. Bring it. I didn't mind the flake size monday. I minded the rates. This is a much better swath of precip at least around my way.

How dare they not out leesburg in a watch yesterday maybe that will teach them not to rely on the NAM >24 hrs........unless, of course, it shows a lot of snow
