Easily over 2" in my yard from this storm and hoping we can crank out another inch or two before the changeover.
Vol Man
Wow....wasn't expecting this much snow this morning. Temp at 28 and still moderate snow. About 3 inches new accumulation. Just heard from in-laws in Duffield...snowing hard with 6 inches new accumulation.
1234snow
The dang flakes are so big now they look like parachutes. Edit: Heaviest snow I've ever witnessed and I don't think it's confirmation bias either.
Bango
As 1234 said, about as heavy a snow as I can remember, I think I am looking at an additional 6 inches or so on top of the last storm's snow
waltrip
South wind off the mountain kicking in here. Downsloping in full effect here. Temperature has raised 5 degrees in last 30 minutes. We are currently at
Jed33
Yeah guys I think this ranks right up there with the heaviest I've seen in quite awhile. Got about 3.5 new inches overnight and this AM.

kvskelton
Cannot believe the amount of snow that's falling. It's been near white out conditions at times. These cars were cleared off before this event. Congrats to all who have cashed in on this one!

Jed33
Now got 4in occasionally some sleet but still mostly snow! I have to say I'm blown away by how this is staying snow. Is there a cold pocket aloft over the area or something?

Jed33
Got a complete lul in precip here now, but managed a little over 4in out of it! Just amazing considering this was really not looking like much even as late as last night.
Bango
Still ripping hasn't let up much. Temp 28. Appears to be one last mega band coming through lee-hancock counties, if we can hold off for one more hour then we will finish out with a bang in Kingsport/gc

Carvers Gap
Almost impossible to tell how much snow we have received. But I would guess that we received 5-7" in Kingsport. My wife is on call this weekend so have been playing taxi this AM. The roads are terrible in Kingsport. Only the GFS in the LR(to some extent the Euro) held to its guns. This event is another reason I don't like most short range models outside of the NAM at the moment for this area. The NAM, along with the GFS, held pretty steady on qpf for this area. Pretty amazing winter storm. Snow on snow. A rare bird in Kingsport. Goes to show what a fresh Arcric air mass can do. Believe me, I hate it for those who haven't been getting snow. Kingsport is known to get generally lesser amounts locally. So, most times I am on the other end of this.
Silas Lang
Been pretty much a nonevent here. So close, yet so far.

The NAM and GFS had the right idea a few days ago and then lost it some and were the only ones to bring it back. I think the GFS was the clear winner here. I have 8 inches now and the back edge is coming.
Bango
Pretty insane for gc, i'll be pushing 93' numbers soon, if we get a couple more inches I'll be in that 15-17 inch range
Carvers Gap
Been pretty much a nonevent here. So close, yet so far. We get downslopede on northwest flow events. I hear ya. It is a real pain in the neck. Still some light snow falling near Indian Path Hospital.
