Why is WRAL talking about 1 band? Yeah I can see it lasting 15-20min as they are saying but to me it looks like 2 bands. The 2nd much stronger. Surely that his all can't pass in 20mins. It's 1.5 drive to Greensboro alone. This whole thing covers a large area. What am I missing here? Or what are they missing (leaving out)?

Remember when it was going to be too warm?  :icecream:

Good little flurry here in downtown CLT....tiny flakes but hell it's flakes non the less.

I don't know why people were worrying about temperatures.  They were never an issue.  I've seen plenty of these before up in WV.  With mid-levels so cold, the temperature always collapses under the heavy rates.  Here, temps were in the upper 30s earlier, but under good rates, we were at 29 degrees.

Of course, the crazy thing about these is that the sun can come out and shoot up back to where it was before.

They are leaving out the initial flurries ahead of the main band. It's still one main band although some areas in the moisture in front of the line could be strong. df61b9f0bd1d82e00770219eeacfcb32.jpg
