Dunkman
Well I have legitimate flurries here now. It's very pretty, some nice flakes mixed in. For those say Winston to Greensboro and south your best view is the Charlotte TDWR long range. None of the Nexrad radars are picking up these areas very well. burgertime
Looks like it's building south, Burger. I think the Charlotte heat island is going to make it go NUTS. I'm just on the southend of downtown CLT...so hopefully the heat island creates so much instability we end up with a blizzard lol.

Lettucesnow
So the convective band just came through Northern Winston like a wrecking ball.... Honestly that snow was almost better than the entire storm from the other night. Like others have said, the visibility dropped to below 500ft and huge flakes were flying everywhere. The grass and every other surface was covered within a matter of minutes except for the roads since the temps were above 32. It was a much more wet snow compared to the other day, perfect for snowballs. Too bad it only last 20 minutes. An hour or two of that would've been great! Jon
Looks like Burger is gonna get some after all...Radar looks great around CTL! Initial batch of precip the HRRR forecasted was on point ahead of the line coming into Wake Co...although slower and light, we'll see what happens.
