allgame830
SV maps show a foot plus West of Boston and 6"+ for Boston proper. The rich get richer. How about the LHV?

IsentropicLift
They're really close to having some major issues with all that snow. One big rainstorm and they will be dumping the tea into the Harbor as it passes through Newbury street.
IsentropicLift
This area was close to having ice issues. The low level cold air gets hung up about 75 miles too far North.
Zelocita Weather
With that strong high to N/W and ambient cold air in place, I'm thinking mostly frozen for most of us. Maybe a lot of ice/mix/sleet, but plain rain I see as a longer shot with this set-up...that intense cold will want to press at least at the surface. rossi
Just wait for the Euro and you will get a better solution. The models did not get anything correct about yesterday. We go thru this every storm and the cold air wins out.
SleetStormNJ
Not a bad look to a threat four days out. A lot will need to be sorted out with regards to the track and location of the high pressure to the north.

I think it'll be close but given the sheared out nature of this I think the low level cold will be stronger once again. The only problem is the high is so far displaced so I could see the coastal plain flipping as the gfs shows but probably like 35-38F and rain and not 40s. The interior and areas N&W of 287 could have icing issues.
snowman19
QPF here is close to 1.5" give or take, most of that falling as rain with temps in the 30's. Could be some hydro issues but not as bad as it could have been.1.5 of rain could do some damage flooding wise, ice jams, frozen ground, rain water drainage blocked by snow and ice, this could be ugly

danstorm
The snowpack right now is too soft to ride on. Under the 3" of fluff that fell in my neighborhood is a bulletproof icepack of death...

Big Jims Videos
I would watch that ice as we go forward. A few times last year that cold air got trapped over central pa and we had major icing issues in the lower Susquehanna valley to reading Lancaster while places north, east, and south torched. Looks like a possible set up going forward.

donsutherland1
Boston might be in trouble this run It was colder and snowier for Boston than the 6z run, but the details are far from cast in stone right now.

IsentropicLift
The GGEM follows up with weak overrunning Monday night into Tuedsay and then a costal hugger on Tuesday night into Wednesday, moderate snow over to rain to dry slot.
