Zelocita Weather
Almost all models have some sortive messy set-up for at least some winter weather this weekend. Complicated, messy set-up, but could be something.
gravitylover
I'd actually take a snow to rain mess as long as there isn't too much rain. I really want this stuff to crust over for two reasons. First it will last longer and second so I can get out on the fatbike and play in the woods. The snowpack right now is too soft to ride on. IsentropicLift
The Western Atlantic ridge is holding stronger this run. Probably going to be a further NW track. (12z GFS)

IsentropicLift
Cold air hangs tough in New England, Boston lucks out. Flipping back to all snow by Sunday afternoon for them. Northern LHV starting to flip back to ZR/IP.
MJO812
Total washouot on Sunday, light to moderate rain over the entire area, Boston still holding into a mix. Terrible solution but I doubt this holds. Need the cold air to press further south.

IsentropicLift
NE PA and most of Upstate NY all snow by late Sunday night. Doesn't get any better than that for them. Hammered from Ohio all the way to Boston.

IsentropicLift
Boston getting hammered again on Monday morning with cold air trying to wrap around the backside but precip is pretty much done for us.
IsentropicLift
Precip from Saturday afternoon until Monday morning. Snow to ice to rain to mix to snow. Obviously the further NW the more frozen.
SleetStormNJ
Long way to go but looks like a messy weekend ahead. Snow thump to mix to rain right now as per GFS. Have to see on the models what might have to happen to keep us frozen.
Metasequoia
Judging from the past several storms, the GFS will trend towards plain rain to snow and back again in the next 4 days. The other models will do this in reverse.
IsentropicLift
SV maps show a foot plus West of Boston and 6"+ for Boston proper. The rich get richer.
IsentropicLift
QPF here is close to 1.5" give or take, most of that falling as rain with temps in the 30's. Could be some hydro issues but not as bad as it could have been.
