Ian
This is not nearly as dynamic of a situation at 500mb as the VD squall of doom, but it arguably has a better pass of a solid vort. That front running band was all huge 500mb driven stuff though as it got the sfc low to pop quick over the area.

EastCoast NPZ
Don't think i've had snow on snow since Dec 2013. We don't do squalls very well out here. Funny to hear people lamenting only an inch or two from VD's squall. You could add up the total from every squall here for the last decade and it wouldn't total 2". DDweatherman
Where does the euro stand on this? Eh .05-.07 in our area pops the sfc low north in CPA.
Bob Chill
Where does the euro stand on this? Paltry. Dusting to half inch up north. Shows what I think is bay effect snow thurs night on the eastern shore but the bay is frozen now so it wouldn't happen either way if that's what it is.
