weathermedic
How much did you measure? Looks like around 4.5-5 for our area. I measured 4.0 at 7:30 so 4.5-5 sounds reasonable by the time it stopped

ag3
KNYC had .11" through 7:00am and 3.0" of snow. After that, they received another .03" of precip. Using the same 27 to 1 ratio, KNYC should have recorded at least another .9" of snow for a total of 3.9"

donsutherland1
KNYC had .11" through 7:00am and 3.0" of snow. After that, they received another .03" of precip. Using the same 27 to 1 ratio, KNYC should have recorded at least another .9" of snow for a total of 3.9" I agree. Assuming that the zookeeper measured when the snow stopped falling, NYC would probably wind up with 3.5"-4.0" snow for the whole event.
ag3
I agree. Assuming that the zookeeper measured when the snow stopped falling, NYC would probably wind up with 3.5"-4.0" snow for the whole event. All the stations should report 3.5"-4.5" on their 4:30pm climate reports. But if they waited until then to measure, the low water volumed snow is evaporating and they will all under-report. JFK had .19" liquid. Even using 25 to 1, they should be nearly 5".

UlsterCountySnowZ
did u guys get any snow up north ? From reports of friends and family I know the accumulating snows did not make it into orange county, I think parts of rockland maybe saw a dusting to an inch , as for me in ulster not even a flake, unless some flurries fell while I was asleep

ag3
Only JFK seems low to me. All stations reported 25-27 to 1 ratios. JFK reported much less and only 18 to 1. They received .19" of precip.
