MJO812
This will go down as one of the higher ratio events at KNYC . Earlier .11 had fallen with 3 plus inches measured at park. In Brooklyn there are between 4 and 5 inches of snow and there are reports of 6 plus in Monmouth County as of 7 am . Which in total gives Monmouth 12 to 14 between both systems. Watch Thursday AM we could sneak another 2 back in around the area. You said I will not see 4 inches with this storm
rickwx1006
5 - 6 inches here in Northwest Jackson Township NJ (near Six Flags) with light - moderate snow. Looking at the radar, we'll have another hour or so of snow here.

Guest Pamela
Port Jefferson 9 AM / 4.5 inches new snow today...now 41.0 inches on the winter...more than 40 inches for the 10th time in the last 15 years. Also more than 40 inches for the 6th time in the last 7 years (2011-12 was the sole dissenter). Pretty unusual. Snow continues to fall at 9AM...rather light snow. Looks like about 15 inches on the ground at the moment.
IsentropicLift
Blue sky starting to appear overhead with flakes still falling underneath, I wonder how long it takes the flakes to reach the ground.

Snow has picked up just a bit since the last comment...I mean you have a 1002 mb Low sitting 100 miles east of the Delmarva in February...with arctic air in place...just about impossible for it not to snow out on the coastal plain... gravitylover
Absolutely beautiful snow. I have closer to 4" than 3" of perfect fluff. If you look at it from underneath, like on a ledge, you can see through it. Shoveling was the easiest it's been in years, like you are only lifting the weight of the shovel itself.
