StudentOfClimatology
Not really. Trends are troubling I'm comparing guidance w/ current observations and can't find any significant deviations? Forcings down south look on target to me.
PhineasC
10:00 p.m. Richmond. 3.75" I just don't see you guys hitting those big 10-14 totals. 6 seems more doable.
snowfan
Took a little traffic camera tour on the MD CHART website - roads seem to range from passable to really bad. I didn't see one road that looked "good" can confirm. Just drove from dc east to 301 and north to crofton. 50 was slushy and 301 was completely snow covered. I passed a plow near my house and it was just dropping salt. Plow was up.

Wonderdog
I just don't see you guys hitting those big 10-14 totals. 6 seems more doable. Agreed. Unless the coastal makes a left, we're looking at the low end of the forecasts, which isn't bad since the Feds are off tomorrow.

Wonderdog
Can't wait to track the next storm.....this one has been the most stressful tracking storm I can remember Yes it was. But since yesterday afternoon, we knew we would be hit so that took the pressure off. But we need a good old fashioned coastal that has some real moisture to work with. EastCoast NPZ
Not really. Trends are troubling You're talking to the guy who refuted there even was a dry slot earlier, despite the obvious evidence of it on radar coming through WV. It was just me being me, though, I guess. It may fill in, it may not, The HRRR showed this dry area out in western VA today and so did the majority of the globals
Bob Chill
Measured 2.2" pretty much uniform. In the lull but crystal flour still falling
clskinsfan
I did have a lull for a little bit. But the snow has not stopped since 2:00 out here. Rates are picking back up now in these western bands. And it is pure dendrites. I think the best is yet to come for all of us.

Jebman
That was a sick band. I need corroboration in my end of the county. anyone in or near Woodbridge/Dale City? I measured 3.8 inches in at least 6 spots and I do not have drifting. Man that band was sick. Just broomed the driveway AGAIN.
