Deck Pic
01z RAP is an improvement over the last few runs. the dryslot isn't as nasty and fills in...precip ends west to east from 3am to 5am, except east of the cities who may benefit from the coastal

NorthArlington101
We always seem to fall for the ratio trap. Just measured 2.25".
caviman2201
Just got back from a Jebwalk... It's awesome outside. One of the coldest storms I can remember. The snow is extremely "crunchy/squeaky" underfoot.

mitchnick
I have 2" at 9:00 PM. How is that failing? Matt posted ratios at IAD at 9:1 and DCA at 10:1 most believed 15:1 was a good bet
blizzardmeiser
Bands to the north of me,bands to the south of me, here i am stuck in the middle again....ok sorry. Just watching the radar fizzle out over my area is killing me. 4-6 inches may end 4-6 flakes. Im done whining now. Enjoy, those lucky enough to have snow Snowing in Cecil county! Nice, seems like we have pretty consistent measurements at 9pm. I had 2.2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.1 so I went conservatively with 2.1.
Ravenfanalways
4 hours per inch, I expect around 4" by the time it ends tomorrow morning. Got a little less than that in 1.5hrs on Saturday. Yep, ratios right now are rather poor for here, guess the dry air is influencing it more than the cold

I noticed I'd been in line with you most of the evening, so the 2.25 was slightly hard to post. My yard is basically a hill, so its always difficult to try and provide an accurate number. BaltimoreWxGuy
Weenie question. Why the bad rates right now? Because the air is remaining too dry and there isnt good snowflake growth in the growth zone yet...once dewpoints get closer to the temp, it should get better...need to get that humidity up

Deck Pic
4kNAM shows radar filling in nicely as the 10pm to 12am period progresses......sets up a band west of the cities at 3am that swings west to east from 3am to 5am...very much like the RAP
kas80
I'm a little discouraged seeing bands setting up north and south of me. Seems like this year, I can't catch a break no matter how a storm evolves. Maybe the green will eventaully fill in over me but each time it gets close it fizzles. Yep, I have the same frustration. It's been constant snow but very fine and slow rates. The good bands just keep missing us.
