ers-wxman1
It looks to me like the low takes over on the HRRR. The northern shield dries up and the low ramps up. Kind of like a transfer that we are used to. NAM still doesn't buy it. That's what happened March 5-6 2013.
BTRWx
Your meteorology must be taught at the bottom of the ocean. It makes no sense that was my point! The banter thread needs a new topic, so go have at it!

ers-wxman1
The banter thread needs a new topic, so go have at it! I have no comment. It was poor meteorology and a poor response. It ends here.
MN Transplant
.6 or so? Honestly can't tell on IWM because of the gradient. Maybe someone with a pay site can tell. Also interesting on IWM is that the RR and NAM are almost identical precip-wise around DC, but the RR has a nearly 10:1 snow ratio while the NAM is an aggressive 15:1 or so. usedtobe
.6 or so? Not that much. 0.50 line pretty much bisects the city on lower res version. Haven't seen the higher res one,, it was the wetter of the two at 12Z.

Eskimo Joe
Looks like a solid band (frontogenetic forcing?) setting up along the Potomac River. Will probably help to kick that dry air out too. Dew point at IAD (Dulles) went from -8 at the 2:00 pm ob to +5 at the 3:00 pm ob for a 13 degree jump. Pretty impressive.
