ers-wxman1
what kind of ratios is it suggesting for 3z-9z?...15:1? I wish I knew...I won't be at work until 10 pm tonight. Sorry.
Ravenfanalways
12z UKIE meteogram for DCA... 17mm PN_D5_TS_TT_P1_UV_UU_VV_METE_1000_Washington.png Still looks good for DCA then, with conservative ratios would be 7-8 inches. BWI on the other hand might be looking at 4-6 inch even in the end with this one.

I'm using 13.5 as my mid-point once I figure out what my mid-point QPF is going to be....I'm doing a final call after the euro....I hate the 4" ranges..I'm going to do a 2-3" range esp since I am forecasting for such a small area....not sure why I am telling you this...but hey...was going to post it anyway
winterymix
Here is the NAM sounding for 0Z, North Central Maryland. It is drier in the lower levels than the GFS sounding at IAD. Could be drier due to being 45 miles north and/or difference between NAM and GFS. Upon further anaylysis, it is the difference between NAM and GFS. swimmatte
JB2's forecast is similar to mine after adjusting for the different snow total contours. Not sure why he's getting hate on this forecast. Yeah I'm confused. I guess he's wrong since he's got a different idea as to the solution. I really don't hate his call. das
I wish I knew...I won't be at work until 10 pm tonight. Sorry. It's pretty easy to get working at home. If you happen to run a Mac at home, it runs really well in a VM as well: http://www.wdtb.noaa.gov/tools/BUFKIT/ Edited to add: CasualBrain beat me to it...
