winterymix
I was just going to post that. Start time probably around 2-3pm. My gosh, I'm surprised by the increasing early start. General public going to be real surprised.
ers-wxman1
Yes, for this one with temps and what will likely be a jucier, 0.75" qpf storm. 20:1 is a bit high. Maybe more toward 15:1.

I can't make those maps out Looks actually south to me. Rgem is usually good so i don't love seeing it go south.
usedtobe
Just got my cable back, glad to see model consensus for a storm. The 18Z NAM still looks pretty good.
winterymix
Looks actually south to me. Rgem is usually good so i don't love seeing it go south. At 700 mb the deep moisture is not good, it is far south.

T. August
This storm reminds me of 3/17/14. I think the totals will end up about the same. WSW M/D line south.
BristowWx
I don't see the south idea on RGEM.
jnis
RGEM looks like a crush job to me? I dont understand what the issue is? Not sure...it looks like 25mm over central Md, but I have no idea if I'm reading that correct.

ers-wxman1
I am liking these max snow totals given out by NWS...Looks like Maxs may be based of of SREF This is based off a 57 member suite. 25 random euro members built in as a new update this year. Rest are cumulative of SRef, GFS etc. plus some editing for forecaster discretion.
ravensrule
I don't see the south idea on RGEM. I was comparing the low in MS to 12Z but i screwed up the frame and i looked at the one that didn't correspond i guess. That is why i HATE the b&w maps. stormtracker
At 700 mb the deep moisture is not good, it is far south. lol. Awful. RGEM is fine. Can't gather the totals yet, but it's not "far south."
gymengineer
I really did. Zoomed in and everything and couldn't make it out. Didn't look bad but wanted to confirm. GFS time. I don't have other fast access to it (have to wait for tropicaltidbits), but if you add up the mm, it seems very likely DC was still over 0.5". ravensrule
Not sure...it looks like 25mm over central Md, but I have no idea if I'm reading that correct. That would be an inch of QPF so i doubt that but you never know.
